“This is one of the most magnificent and up-to-date of its kind to be
found anywhere, and is a delightful structure of wattle and daub, with
brown outside beams giving an artistic effect....... and no expense has been
spared in providing every modern requirement and comfort for the golfer.”
These were the words used to describe our original clubhouse which opened in
1910.

81 years later, following the development of the A27 Brighton by-pass over
our old course, West Hove opened another ‘most magnificent and
up-to-date’ clubhouse. This time it has been built of brick, with
flint walls around the central atrium which has a rounded roof to reflect the
rolling landscape of the South Downs.
