MONTHLY MEDALS (12) 7 day and single-figure handicap juniors Medal full 28 T Sat
or
Sun

Single-figure handicap Juniors must play after 11.00am - 6 medals are held on a Saturday and 6 on a Sunday -  there are 2 divisions (for handicaps 0-12 & 13-28) but only one overall winner. In the April, May and July monthly medals it is customary to hold qualifying events for some external competitions (e.g. the Hall of Fame qualifier, the EGU medal and the Red Bull qualifier). An additional entry fee is sometimes required but full details will always be shown on the entry sheets. In the June monthly medal the top 16 qualify for the Sydney Johnson KO competition. (see below)

ECLECTIC 7 day Medal n/a 28 T n/a

Entries will be invited via the Club notice-board. The winner will be the player with the lowest GROSS score determined by adding his best score on each hole of the monthly medals he plays in the calendar year. In the event of a tie the winner will be the player with the lowest net score (using his handicap at the date he entered the competition). If after this there is still a tie the normal count-back rules will be applied to the gross scores (i.e. back 9, 6, 3 and 1). There will be 2 divisions, handicaps 0-12 & 13-28 (as at the date of entry to the competition).

Gross scores should be recorded in the normal way but the final column on the scorecard should show "+" when par is beaten, "0" when par is equalled and "-" when par is not achieved (i.e. the hole has been lost to the course). The winner is normally +3 or +4 (i.e. 3 or 4 under par or bogey). It is not essential to complete the final column on the card. Members with a handicap in the range 25-28 may play, but off of 24.
