This is a truly stunning par 5 finishing hole of 617 yards. It is
generally played into the prevailing wind but is all downhill. The fairway
is very generous but there are numerous fairway bunkers to contend with.
Pro’s tip:
This is West Hove’s signature hole. The superb views from the tee over the
Downs, the distant sea and the clubhouse invite you to hit a big drive
down the longest hole in Sussex. It will always require three long and
accurate shots to find the green in regulation. Avoid the fairway bunkers
along the way and be aware of out-of-bounds down the left and over the
green. A good score on this hole always makes your beer taste sweeter at
the 19th hole that overlooks the green! |
